Presenting the Georgetown Swirl To-Go!
The Georgetown Main Street Program invites you to be part of the Georgetown Swirl To-Go, a Texas wine, local food, and downtown shopping celebration, on the Georgetown Square. This year’s event will be on Saturday, May 22, 2021, from 2-5 p.m. and will feature a scaled-back alternative to our typical event.
The Georgetown Swirl To-Go will include tastings from Texas wineries that will be set up outside on the sidewalks in front of downtown retail stores. Each attendee will receive a commemorative metal tumbler and will have their choice of 10 wine samples from the participating Texas wineries. The retail locations will have Swirl shopping specials for guests, so treat yourself to a few things while you’re out swirling around downtown! A complimentary shopping tote bag with some extra goodies will be given to all attendees! It wouldn’t be a Swirl without upbeat celebratory music, and the much-loved band, Swing Shift will be back to help set a fun and festive mood as they rove around the downtown. Don’t miss out on the fun!
A total of 350 general admission tickets will be sold for $30 each to keep the event an intimate gathering. Attendees are kindly requested to wear a mask when not tasting wine, and when entering stores to shop. We want to provide the safest possible experience for our guests while giving you an opportunity to have a fun afternoon downtown.
This is our largest fundraiser of the year and something that we look forward to hosting in a full-scale capacity again in 2022. All proceeds benefit the Georgetown Main Street Facade & Sign Grant Program which has awarded over $500,000 in matching grant funds back to over 80 downtown property and business owners.
